Is There Anybody Out There?
A downloadable game
Is There Anybody Out There? is a short narrative VR experience exploring isolation, routine, and social disconnection during the COVID-19 quarantine.
The experience places the viewer inside the narrator’s personal space, where everyday objects, environmental details, narration, spatial sound, and interaction gradually reveal fragments of life during lockdown. Across six interconnected scenes, users are invited to explore, interact with objects, and move through situations inspired by the strange familiarity, loneliness, and emotional weight of that period.
The project was originally developed in 2023 for Meta Quest.
HOW TO PLAY:
Interact (grab) with objects that appear in the scene to proceed with the story.
The first interaction is grabbing the vinyl disk and moving it to the gramophone.
The required space needed for a user to play is 2x2 square meters.
Headphones may be needed if there is noise in the display area.
HOW TO RESET THE SCENE:
There are two ways to reset the scene:
1)After the narrative completes and the narrator moves outside, the scene will be reset.
2)By pressing A, B, X, Y buttons on the controllers simultaneously.
